For my first post, I only think it be fair to talk about the new restaurant The Fork N Cork in downtown Wilmington, NC. The Fork N Cork is located in the old Slice of Life location and was formally a food truck called the Patty Wagon. There are a total of four tables and a long wrap around bar. The atmosphere is chill with flat screen TV'S playing the food network (I mean come on... Who doesn't want to watch awesome food being cooked and eaten while waiting on your awesome food to be cooked and then eaten?!.) James, the owner, is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. It only seemed right to ask him his favorites and so below are what we chose to order.
Special of the day. Italian Mac N Cheese with a side of onion rings. $14 Let me just say this was AH-mazing! The mac n cheese full of flavor and my FAVORITE. Stuffed with noodles, marina, sausage, and MORE.
Two more favorites from the boss are the Lamb Burger and Special of the day Seafood Pot Pie. The cooked to order burger was full of flavor from the homemade tzatziki sauce to the mint and oregano ground lamb. Its pictured with their yummy homemade fries. When ordering, don't forget to ask for ranch! Its HOMEMADE AND TO DIE FOR! Lamb Burger $14. The Pot Pie was filled with shrimp, scallops, and more for $17. The bread atop was moist and made for the perfect compliment inside the pie. Menu is very affordable ranging to the most expensive being $17. If your in the area this is a must try, but be ready to wait if your not early… It's a small and cozy joint.
